Stephanie, Kwolek

An American chemist, Kwolek is known for her invention of Kevlar; an invention that came purely by accident as she was studying molecule chains.  However, what many do not know is that Stephanie Kwolek not only loved science – she also loved sewing! Which we think is that perfect combination for creating bulletproof vests!  Kwolek was also a lifelong practicing Catholic who wanted to become a doctor; however, it appears as though God, with perhaps some influence from St. Michael, had a much different plan for Stephanie.  Doctors aren’t the only ones who save lives.  To date, Kevlar has saved over 3,000 lives.  God Bless Stephanie Kwolek!

Father George Lemaitre

All too often people highlight the “Big Bang Theory” has a singular secular scientific idea without recognizing that the theory was formed by a theoretical physicist, mathematician and… Catholic Priest! Father Georges Henri Joseph Édouard Lemaître proposed the theory which has become, “…the central pillar of modern cosmology.”  Additionally, “…Lemaître wanted his scientific theories to be judged exclusively on their physical merit, keeping metaphysical implications completely separate,” all while facing difficulty within and outside of the Catholic faith.  However, we know that Father Lemaitre was a truth seeker and all who seek truth, seek God.
